Random Tuesday Thoughts

You would think after years of typing that I would get better and faster... but no... seems I get slower and make more mistakes that I have to go back and correct. I never was good at typing... I blame it on my fingers (my wild heart has nothing to do with it... that's a Stevie Nicks reference in case you didn't get it)... they are dyslexic... I gave up years ago on typing the correct way because my fingers never would go where they were supposed to anyway... so I'm one of those that just lets them go to the keys at random... whichever finger wants to hit it hits it. I made an A in typing class in college... even though I was slow and made lots of mistakes.... I still made 100's on the written exams and all of the other stuff... so I got an A... strange huh?.... I should have barely passed that class.

Last week I was using some EC credits to advertise on other blogs... sometimes my ad gets declined... it usually doesn't bother me... I just think "whatever" and go on about my business. Have you ever had your ad declined? Here are a few of the reasons the decliners gave.... "Not appropriate".... Hmmm I didn't realize that my button or my blog had inappropriate things on them..... "Design clash"..... I also didn't realize that my design had to match the blog I'm advertising on..... "Not relevant".... ok... so now I'm irrelevant. This is the one that bothered me... why???.... because this was from a blog I have been following since I first joined EC... I've dropped on that blog... and I even had her button on my blog!.... oh well whatever.... I have lots of wonderful bloggy friends :) Have you ever declined an EC ad... I don't mean a paid one... just an ad from a regular EC user...

I just got out of a nice cool shower.... and I'm dripping in sweat already... it's 85 degrees in here! Our air is messed up (again) today.... we have soooo much trouble with our unit... it drives me insane. Adrian was supposed to be off today... but of course he had to go take care of some issues... off the clock of course... not that it matters he doesn't get paid by the hour anyway... but still... he's suposed to be off. He went to work yesterday at 3:00 am and got home last night at 10:30 pm.... at least he didn't have to go in for anything on Sunday. When he gets home he's supposed to fix the air.... when he gets home... so for now I have my own personal sauna.... I don't like saunas... they're too hot... this is the south... it's hot enough without saunas.

Oh wait! He just called... he's on his way home! I'll have air soon! And we'll find something fun to do! I can stop rambling now!

Want Free Advertising For Your Blog???

At the end of June I decided to try Adgitize to see if I could earn some free ads for my blog... It only costs $14 a month if you pay to have your ads on there... and then you can earn your money back and usually a lil extra in addition just by clicking on their ads (kinda like dropping an Entrecard... and I do this while I drop my EC's) but me... being the bargain hunter and freebie lover that I am didn't want to scrape the bottom of my purse for the $14... I want to earn my ads by participating in the program. Turns out that paid advertisers are able to earn more points and thus accumulate earnings quicker than just non-paying members and are therefore able to earn back their $14 and usually a lil more in addition to that by the end of the month. So after a few days at the end of June and all of July I've accumulated almost $5. If I stick with it another couple of months I will have enough for my ad and from there I'll be able to earn enough each month to continue getting my ad for free!

So if you are like me and you want free advertising... and you have the patience to earn it... you might wanna give Adgitize a try. I've actually gotten more traffic to my blog even though I don't have a paid ad on there yet.... and I've found some great blogs that are not listed on EC as well (most of the blogs do both EC and Adgitize).

You earn money based on points.... and you earn points by doing exactly what you do everyday anyway like....

Any Visits To Your Blog (or Web Site)
Reading Other Blogs
Placing Their Ads On Your Site

So it's really easy... just click your Adgitize ads at the same time you drop your EC's.... and 'kill two birds with one stone'

Thank You June Top Droppers!!!

OMG..... it's July already.... this year is going by soooo fast. Christmas will be here again before we know it... and another year will be gone. Remember when it took a long time for a year to go by??? My Mom and I were talking about this awhile back and even she said that it feels like time is going by faster.... I think time has speeded up. Now I'm not a quantum physicist.... but I really do think that time has speeded up. I've done some poking into the Mayan prophecies concerning 2012 and I ran across a scientist who has this theory as well. But that's not what this post is supposed to be about....

Entrecard Strangeness......

Entrecard Strangeness.... the ad that is on my widget today is a non-approved paid ad. My dashboard says that the non-paid ad that I approved should be showing but instead the non-approved paid ad is showing. Is this happening with anyone else???

So anyways... please show some love to the blog that is supposed to be showing on my widget!
