Friday Frustrations.... Me

ConversationsWithMoms:Every day Conversations with a Mom Blog

My Friday Frustration is ME!... I'm frustrated with myself because I'm spending way too much time on my computer and my house is a mess. It takes me most of the day to drop my EC's.... partly because my computer is old and slow... and partly because I stop dropping to read probably 75% of the blogs I drop on. Now I know that's a good thing for you other bloggers... and I really enjoy reading your blogs... if I didn't I wouldn't stop to read them! But I'm wondering how you all get your drops done so quickly??? If I stop dropping and reading for more than a few minutes here and there I just don't manage to get my 300 drops done. I'm using the EC tool bar to drop first on ECers who have dropped on my card... and then the ones I have marked in my favorites. Last night I was dropping like a mad woman until 12:00 trying to get all my drops in... and I only managed to get 276.

Since getting a new computer will not happen until at least Christmas.... maybe even longer.... I could really use some tips and tricks advice here. My kitchen floor is disgusting.... my closet needs cleaning out.... my bathroom needs a really good cleaning rather than the spot cleaning it's been getting... Steffie's closet needs organizing.... my bedroom needs a good deep cleaning.... my web business is totally neglected (not that it was making any sales anyways when I was putting in 8+ hours a day on it)..... the list goes on and on.... and all I'm managing to do is keep up with the laundry and dishes and cook dinner.... make the bed.... pick up everyone's clutter.... and take care of Steffie and spend some time with her. I try to tell myself that I shouldn't stress so much over dropping ECs.... but then I'm right back in here sitting at the computer dropping like crazy to get them all done. But I really appreciate EC and all of the droppers because I've found alot of great blogs by being using it.

So hopefully someone can give me some tips to help speed things up.... (or maybe the day will become 48 hours long so I can have more time to do all the things that need doing not likely huh?!)

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July Weekend!!!

Well...I spend 2 hours edropping and 2 hours replying and commenting.
You can take one day and just drop...then the next day to comment. Eventually bloggers catch on to your routine.
There are not to many of us that have nothing else to do...we are all busy with lives and whatnot.
So take one day and delegate it to one thing.

LOL. I'm laughing because I'm in the same boat. My husband sometimes will comment on how messy the house is but luckily he's pretty good about it. He supports my blogging passion, or I'd be in trouble.

Happy 4th to you too. I was stressing over the 300 drops per day as well too, but I decided just to worry about getting quality visits in and commenting. It's nice to do the 300 and see the stats up, but I really prefer to do the commenting and visiting so I try to kill two birds with one stone.

I don't really have a system. I stopped doing the one (have someone sign into my acct and drop for me) so that I could do quality dropping... so, try not to worry about it too much and just enjoy.

What about scheduling one day when you don't drop at all to get other stuff done? Just a thought.

Hi
In order for me to write, I now get up 1hour earlier and whizz through the house so it looks good. I then write and at the end of the day I prepare ready for the next. It is working for me, and that extra hour makes a difference.
Thanks for dropping by my author blog.

Well done with the 300 drops!!

I know I'll never get to that because I'm blogging in my working hours. Yes, hope my boss don't catches me or a nasty colleague reports me.

It's interesting to read these blogs, at times I do not comment (time consumption guys)and I try to drop 40-80 every second day.

Then I still have to work on my blog as well and don't let I struggle.. like my Adsense - I just left it. My google Ads are still not running.

Enough about my winening, A Lil I have something for you, take care.

Wow! I thought I was the only one struggling with this.... I feel much better knowing that I'm not alone... even though I was hoping for some magical dropping mechanism of some kind....lol

Petula I think you have something with the quality dropping... and you too PJ with dropping on your blog roll first. I think I'll drop on my blog roll first... commentors next and then my inbox. I'm going to just enjoy the blogs that I like and if I have time to do more dropping I'll do more dropping... I'm going to stop stressing over it.

Thanks for all of your comments! I feel much better about the dropping dilemma now! Maybe we can all relax more and just enjoy our blogging obsession... click...click...click...

Hi Glynis... I really do love that fireplace!!! I showed it to my hubby this morning and he says "oh that's an old coal burning fireplace... lot's of houses in England have them"... well I've never been out of the US... so how should I know!... He was born in England and has family there so he's been there quite a bit.

Thanks for stopping by my blog... and if that's your fireplace... think about the crazy girl who loves it occasionally when you build a fire in it.

Love and Light,

Awwww... thank you sooo much for the award! It really makes me feel good to know that others are enjoying my ramblings.

I don't know how you do it... working...blogging and keeping up your personal and family life as well.... I'm home all day and still get very lil done. Of course it's like PJ said... I can barely manage to get my butt off the chair to pee... and take Steffie to pee... if it weren't for her my butt might be permanently stuck to the chair.

I know how you feel... I spend way too much time online too. Part of it is the fact I am in a long distance relationship, so being on the computer is one of the only ways I can talk to my boy, who's in England. :( But I won't lie and say that I'm just talking to him. I'm also reading blogs, playing games, generally fooling around online when I should be doing other stuff.

I used to drop 300 ECs a day too, but I gave up on that because it was waaay too time consuming. I'm pretty competitive, so it was hard to let go of the desire to drop the limit every day, but I have more time now to do other things like work on new blog posts :)

Hi Joy... good luck with your long distance relationship! I met my husband online in November of 1997... along with two of my really good friends. I lived in GA... he lived in MA.... Cyn lived in the DC area and Tim lived in AL. So we all spent a huge amount of time online chatting! I've been married to Adrian for 10 years now and we live in GA... Cyn and Tim have been married for quite a few years as well and now live in AL. So as bad a rap as online relationships have.... they can work!... as long as everyone is honest about who they are... and what they want from the relationship. I hope yours works out as wonderfully as mine did!
