Weekend Bullshit

Penn & Teller: Bullshit!Image via Wikipedia

So it's another Saturday night with nowhere to go and nothing to do except to curl up on the couch and watch another episode of Penn and Teller's Bullshit that I recorded on the DVR (which by the way... I have become very spoiled to... and couldn't... okay wouldn't want to... live without). It seems that everyone else has full and busy weekends... but most of the time we are just sitting home. This seems to go in cycles for us... we'll have long periods of time... a few years maybe... where we have someplace to go... friends to spend time with... every weekend. And then for whatever reasons we'll go through a phase where we have no place to go and no one to hang out with on the weekends. I think I would prefer a happy medium to this... with some socializing on the weekends and a weekend here and there at home. But I really like to be with friends or family on weekends... especially since I'm stay-at-home-Mom and don't get to see many people through the week. We just don't have friends with small children... so it makes socializing difficult since we do have a small child.

Oh well... Penn and Teller here I come...

P.S. I do like this show but it is not one of my favorites... it's just one we can both agree on watching... I'll watch my favorites later when Adrian goes to bed.

sometimes i get to feeling the same way, especially here. i don't know anyone here to even hang out with. i mostly like the quiet evenings without all the people. i got enough excitement in the 22 years of bartending that i had to last me the rest of my life. but every once in awhile it would be nice to just get out.

I usually choose to stay home even when I do have things to do. I am a homebody. That's just the way it is, lol.
BTW, I saw Penn and Teller in person and they were pretty funny :)

I'm basically a homebody as well... but I do like to get out and socialize... especially after being home all week with the lil one... I really need some adult conversation. We used to hang out with friends every weekend before lil Steffie was born... but since then we seldom see anyone. So after 3 1/2 years I'm a bit antsy for friends and just hanging out.
